Troy Dean Pownell, 38, of Delphi, passed away unexpectedly from a G.I. bleed, on Tuesday-April 9, 2024, at 7:22pm, at Franciscan Health E. in Lafayette. Troy was born July 4, 1985, in Lafayette, to his late father Larry D. Pownell, and his mother Diana L. Shaffer Pownell, who survives. Troy attended Rossville High School and received his GED. He previously worked for Kevin Fisher Dry Wall for several years, and currently was employed by Lonestar Logistics at Caterpillar in Lafayette. He was baptized at the Delphi Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing video games, basketball, going to amusement parks, and Indiana University sports. His greatest love was for his son and family. He enjoyed watching him play basketball and football. Always in the stands cheering him on. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed being together for any occasion. Pownell of Bedford, sister-Debbie & Brad Campbell of Florida, sister-Cheryl & Tim Howell of Logansport, sister-Susan E. Pownell of Delphi, sister-Mindy L. Pownell of Delphi, and several nieces & nephews survive. Services: Visitation will be Friday from 3pm until his funeral service at 6pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi.
