Susan Jill Kross Bartholomew, 69, of rural West Lafayette, passed away Friday-April 14, 2023, at 9:22am, at St. Mary's Healthcare in Lafayette. She was born January 1, 1954, in Glens Falls, NY, to the late Paul & Eloise Vosburgh Kross. Her marriage was to Rev. Richard O. Bartholomew in Delmar, NY, on June 12, 1976, and he survives. She graduated in 1972 from Bethlehem Central High School in Delmar, NY, and received her BS in 1976 from Concordia College in Bronxville, NY. Sue was a homemaker and had worked at a Christian Bookstore for 2 years, as well as a Day Care Center for children for 9 years. She and her husband moved back to Indiana in March of 2021 to be closer to their children. She and her husband were members of Redeemer Lutheran Church in West Lafayette, and she was involved with Stephen's Ministries. Sue was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, and loved to travel. Her greatest love was for her family and grandchildren, and spending time with them for any occasion. Her deep seeded faith in the good Lord promises life eternal with him, now that her battle with her illness is over, to which she handled with grace and peace.

Surviving: husband-Rev. Richard O. Bartholomew of West Lafayette, son-Rev. Andrew & Jennifer Bartholomew of Grand Rapids, MI, son-Caleb & Carrissa Bartholomew of West Lafayette, daughter-Jana & Ryan Roberts of Walton, sister-Paula & Curtis Clark of East Berne, NY, sister-Laurie & Alva Bleau of Tupper Lake, NY. 12 grandchildren survive. Preceded in death by a granddaughter Zoe, a grandson Isaac, a brother Paul. Services: Visitation will be Wednesday from 10am until her funeral service at 11am at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 510 Lindberg Road, West Lafayette, IN 47906, Pastor Joseph Townsend officiating.
