Steven L. Dalton, 57, of Delphi, died Mon-Jan 23, 2017 at 1:23pm at IU Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. He was born June 8, 1959, in Lafayette, to the late Jack & Norma Hill Dalton. He was a 1977 graduate of Delphi Community High School. Steve started working in 1980 for Watson Construction in Delphi, for 37 years, and also owned and operated Dalton's Dog Houses, specializing in custom animal enclosures & other custom woodworking projects. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Delphi. He enjoyed riding around town on his many scooters he had over the years, and especially liked his trike scooter he currently had. Steve was a gifted carpenter, and enjoyed woodworking of all kind's. He was an avid Purdue University sports fan, and liked the Indianapolis Colts. He never knew a stranger, and was a local fixture to Delphi, and had many friends that loved his smile and gentle nature. Surviving: cousins-Pamela & Tim VanSchoick of Brookston, Tina & Doug Guinn of Lafayette. Preceded in death by a brother Dale.
