Steven D. Clark "Clarky", 69, of rural Delphi, passed away Wednesday-September 11, 2024, at 6:30pm, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette with loved ones by his side. Steve was born May 2, 1955, in Williamsport, to the late Doyle & Kay Sipes Clark. He graduated from Delphi Community High School in 1973. Steve moved to California in 1977 and began his career in the plumbing trade. Seven years later he and his family moved to Texas where he started and ran his own partnership, C&N Plumbing, with his cousin Tony for five years before moving back to Delphi. Steve worked for the former Hildebrandt Electric, Plumbing & Heating, and then for F&S Williams in Lafayette. Steve lived on the Tippecanoe River for the past 25 years and loved the river life. He enjoyed boating, fishing, having a fire by the water, mushroom hunting, and just being outdoors. He enjoyed NFL football and mostly loved spending time with his family and friends at social gatherings, often being the life of the party. He never met a stranger and enjoyed catching up with his many friends and neighbors. He dearly loved his family. Surviving: daughter-Stacey Johnson (Jarmy) of Battle Ground, son-Chris Clark (Sara Underhill) of Lafayette, sister-Debby Goyer (Bob Robinson) of Delphi, sister-Tami Singer (Chuck) of Carmel, sister-Patty Yates (Steve) of Palo Verde, CA, brother-in-law-Steve Kochell of La Quinta, CA, cousin-Tony Norrod (Mary) of Colorado Springs, CO, cousin-Tom Norrod (Kay) of Memphis, TN, grandchildren: Corissa Clark (Eric Wiggins), Devin Clark (Rachel Newell), Jadelyn Johnson (Dakota Sanders), Kayla Johnson (Wyatt Roth) and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a sister Becky Kochell. Services: The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4pm until his memorial service at 7pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Rev.
