Stephen Dale "Steve" Spear, 70, of Delphi, passed away Monday-February 12, 2024, at 12:21pm at his residence. Steve was born September 29, 1953, in Lafayette, to the late Carl & Betty Fincher Spear. Steve graduated from Delphi High School in 1972. He worked at the former Peters-Revington Furniture Factory in Delphi for over 30 years, retiring from there in 2004. Steve was a member of the Delphi Methodist Church. He enjoyed card games and traveling to Florida to see his parents and sister. He loved the gulf and enjoyed spending time at the beach. Steve was an avid IU basketball fan and loved baseball and all sports in general. He loved his beloved dog, Buddy. Steve dearly loved his family, and spending time with them all. Surviving: sister-Kathy Dep of Cape Coral, FL, sister-Donna & Ron Kleckner of Monticello. Several nieces & nephews survive. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Terry, Kenny & Rick. Services: The family will receive friends on Friday the 23rd from 11am until his memorial at 1pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Rev. Todd Ladd officiating.
