Stephen J. "Steve" Howard, 76, of Delphi, passed away Tuesday-September 10, 2024, at 9:05am, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Steve was born January 13, 1948, in Lafayette, to the late Roger & Evelyn Rohrabaugh Smith Howard. He married Dorcus J. Hill in Delphi, on December 24, 1971, and she survives. He attended Delphi High School. He received his certification in HVAC from Ivy Tech and was a journeyman electrician. He first worked with his father at Howard Supply as a water well technician in Montmorenci, then he went to Ralph-David Electric Wholesale in Lafayette & Logansport for several years and farmed in Carroll County. He also worked seasonally for McCormick Farms near Delphi for many years. Steve was a member of the NRA, enjoyed being outdoors' taking a ride on his gold cart, and making his way back to his woods for a fire. Family was everything to Steve. He dearly loved them all and enjoyed being together for any occasion. Surviving: wife-Dorcus J. Howard of Delphi, son-Jeff & Nancy Howard of Delphi, daughter-Tamara & Michael Pechin of Lafayette, daughter-Vicki & Tim Hobbs of Lafayette. 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren survive.
