Shannon S. Jones, 56, of Mulberry, died Fri-July 6, 2018, at 12:07pm at St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette. He was born Dec 19, 1961 in Lafayette, to the late G. Michael & Harriette Sullivan Jones. He graduated from Wawasee High School in1980, and attended Purdue University. He worked for Stone City Iron Works, in structural & designing steel buildings. While at Wawasee, he lettered in track & cross country, and during his sophomore year at Rossville High School, he lettered in cross country. He enjoyed reading, and tinkering with electronics. He enjoyed cooking, and was a self taught gourmet. Shannon was a very determined individual. He was kind hearted, friendly & caring. He enjoyed meeting people, and the good conversations they would have. He loved his family. Surviving: daughter-Shae N. Jones of Nantucket, Mass.; son-Andrew Jones of Ringgold, GA; sisters-Ramona & Jeff Bass of Mulberry, Rene & Mamoun Hariri of Delphi; brother-Kristopher Jones of Mulberry. Graveside service will be held Thursday at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Delphi. Chaplin Dwight Herin officiating.
