Dr. Sara A. Fultz, 85, of Camden, died Thurs.-Apr. 9, 2015 at 4:15am at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center-Delphi. She was born in Cass Co., IN, to the late Ira & Geneva Kramer Fultz. She was a 1947 graduate of Logansport High School. She received her BS from Purdue University, then received her Masters at the University of Michigan, teaching microbiology there, then she taught botany at the University of Massachusetts, and continued working on her doctoral studies, attaining her PhD in Botany, then she taught botany at Stanford University at Palo Alto, CA, retiring from there. She enjoyed being outdoors, nature, and going for walks in the woods. She enjoyed traveling, and the simple things in life. Surviving: niece-Marilyn & Russell Hutchison of Crawfordsville; 5 nephews: Bill & Brenda Appleton of Delphi, Brian & Pat Appleton of Batesville, Dean & Linda Appleton of Logansport, Lee & Gere Appleton of Stanford, IL, Rex & Betty Jo Fultz of Crawfordsville. Preceded in death by her sister Hanna Appleton; brother-William Fultz. Services: Private family graveside services will take place at a later date in Camden Cemetery, Pastor Jerry Long officiating.
