Sandra S. "Sandy" Shaw Liebert, 74, of Delphi, passed away Monday-August 11, 2025, at 4:40pm, at her daughter's home near Delphi, after a brief illness. She was born December 24, 1950 in LaPorte, to the late Vernon & Connie Hogan Shaw. Her marriage was to James R. "Jim" Liebert in LaPorte on August 18, 1973, and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2012. Sandy graduated from LaPorte High School in 1969, and received her degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University in 1974. She worked for 37 years at Hooks, REVCO, and finally CVS, retiring in 2011. Sandy was baptized and a member of the 1st Methodist Church in LaPorte. While attending Purdue she was a lil sis at a fraternity.  She enjoyed NASCAR especially driver Kevin Harvick, going to Walt Disney World with her family, an avid reader of Stephen King, Danielle Steele, and James Patterson novels. She liked watching the TV series NCIS. She loved getting her nail's done at Sassy's in Delphi by her friend Ann. She loved her dog Elle, and her daughters could always count on her to help with their fur babies. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Surviving: daughter-Sara & Tobe Leazenby of Delphi, daughter-Liza Hayden of Delphi, grandson-Axis Hayden of Delphi. Preceded in death by a son-in-law Jeremy Hayden, a sister Debra Shaw, an infant brother Terry Shaw. Private family interment will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte. A celebration of Sandy's life will take place at a later date. Memorial contribution's may be made to the donor's favorite humane society or no kill animal shelter.
