Robert F. "Bob" Walton, 78, of Americus, died Thurs.-Jan. 21, 2016 at 9:05pm, at Clinton House in Frankfort. He was born July 10, 1937 in Salem, to the late William & Esther Hoggatt Walton. His marriage was to Doris A. Little in Lafayette, on Oct. 1, 1960, and she survives. He was a 1956 graduate of Battle Ground High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1956-1959, as a communication specialist, attaining the rank of Corporal. He worked for 38 years at Fairfield Manufacturing in Lafayette, as a set up operator, retiring in 1999. He belonged to the Fairfield Athletic Association, and was a member of the Americus Union Church. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and outdoor activities. He liked to watch any and all sporting events. Surviving: wife-Doris A. Walton of Americus; daughters: Kim & Dennis Mitchell of Lafayette, Julie Harvey of Buck Creek, Patricia & Wayne Fountain of Quincy, CA; sister-Catherine Laswell of West Lafayette. 5 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren survive. Preceded by a sister & 5 brother's. Services: Friends may call Monday from 10am until his funeral service at 11am at Americus Union Church in Americus. Pastor Larry Williams officiating.
