Robert Earl "Bob" Bogan, 63, of rural Monticello, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday-December 28, 2023, at 10:40am, at his residence. He was born July 31, 1960, in Frankfort, to the late Ronald & Ruth Hollingsworth Bogan. He attended Twin Lakes High School. He worked for his father at Bogan Salvage & Trucking in Delphi for several years. Then for Paddack Brother's Trucking near Frankfort for many years, and for the last 17 years for Segal's Delta Trucking near Delphi. Bob was a member of the Son's of the American Legion. He enjoyed playing darts and was in a local dart league he participated in for many years. He enjoyed his fire pit and having his friends and neighbors over for a cookout on the grill. He loved people and his friends and enjoyed his annual Boggie Fest at his home every year. A fun social gathering many attended. He loved living on the lake, enjoyed boating & fishing, and just being near the water. He loved his many cats he took care of, and watching football, especially the Colts & Cowboys, and was a Cubs baseball fan. He dearly loved his family. They were his life. And he enjoyed any family gatherings they would all share together.
Surviving: sister-Sherry D. Burgin of Frankfort, sister-Rhonda & Toby Grist of Prosper, TX, brother-Ronald L. "Ronnie" Bogan of Delphi, brother-Mike D. Bogan of Pittsburg, brother-Jason Lowry of Pittsburg. Several nieces & nephews, and great nieces & nephews survive. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Joe, a nephew Tyler, & a nephew Daniel. Services: Visitation will be Saturday-Jan. 6, 2024, from 11am until his funeral service at 2pm, at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi, Rev. Todd Ladd officiating.
