Pauline Clara Hess Knight, 90, formerly of Flora, passed away Tuesday-February 15, 2022, at 4:20am, at Milner Community Healthcare Center in Rossville. She has been a resident there for the past 4 years. She was born August 10, 1931, in McPherson, KS, to the late Maurice & Nancy "Nannie" Oyler Hess. Her marriage was to James William Knight in McPherson, KS, on March 15, 1955, and he preceded her in death on December 4, 1992. She was a 1949 graduate of McPherson High School and received her BS in Education from McPherson College in 1953. She taught 4 grades of students at a rural school near McPherson. She then taught at a KS State Institution for 2 years, as a Rehabilitation Specialist, and was a homemaker. She moved to Indiana from Missouri in 1998. She was a member of the Bachelor Run Old German Baptist Brethren Church in Flora.
Surviving: daughter-Alice & Bert Dillon of Sweet Springs, MO; son-David & Kim Knight of Unionville, MO. 7 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren survive. She was preceded in death by an infant brother & sister. Services: Visitation will be Tuesday from 8am until her funeral service at 10:30am at the Bachelor Run Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Flora. Home Brethren will officiate. She'll be taken back to Knob Noster, MO, and a graveside service at Wampler Cemetery, Knob Noster, will be Thursday at 10:30am.
