Patsy D. Harris Yerkes, 70, of Camden, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday-June 21, 2022, at 3:40pm, at IU Health Arnett Hospital, in Lafayette. She was born May 18, 1952, in Little Rock, Ark., to the late Henry D. Harris, and Sylvia V. Harris Rozhon. Her marriage was to Lary Joe Yerkes at the Radnor United Methodist Church, on August 31, 1991, and he preceded her in death on September 29, 2021. She was a 1971 graduate of Delphi High School. She worked at the Logansport State Hospital for 15 years, in the laundry & Inventory Departments, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Camden United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her many flower gardens around her home, yard work, and just being outdoors. She enjoyed fishing with her family, crocheting, and was an avid reader. She was a huge Elvis Pressley fan and enjoyed other kinds of music. She liked to play BINGO at the Camden American Legion, and other community functions. She dearly loved her family, that was her life, especially her granddaughters. Attending their school and sporting functions. She loved being with them for any occasion. Surviving: son-John & Nichole Perkins of Auburn, AL; granddaughters-Cheyenne Perkins & Sydney Perkins. Brother-James H. Harris of Delphi. Preceded in death by 2 sisters Shelia D. Harris & Peggy M. Jones. Services: Visitation will be Monday from 4pm to 7pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Funeral service Tuesday 1pm at the funeral home, Rev. Ed Selvidge officiating. Burial at Zion Cemetery, rural Carroll County. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., or the American Kidney Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
