Obituary

Patricia A. Radaker, 72, of Delphi, died Mon.-Dec. 21, 2015 at 11:30am at Monticello Healthcare Center. On that morning, our dear mother went home to heaven. She will be enjoying Christmas face to face with our Savior, and side by side with many of her loved ones, worshipping at His feet! PRAISE GOD!!! We will miss her intensely, as will many of you, but we could never wish her back here. She has been through more than enough pain for any one lifetime, and now, the hard stuff is finally over for her. She will be enjoying what we still long for, to see our Lord and Maker as He truly is. To fellowship with Him face to face, without hindrance! NOTHING could be better than that! She was born Mar. 14, 1943 in Anderson, to the late James & Betty Cope Callahan. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1961, and received her BS in English Literature from Ball State University in 1982. She worked for the Anderson Herald Bulletin as a Journalist for many years, and wrote for several area newspapers, before retiring. She was born and raised in the Anderson area, and moved to Delphi 4 years ago to be closer to her daughters. She was a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers. She attended the First Baptist Church & Wesleyan Church, both in Delphi. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and writing, euchre card games, scrabble, and baking cookies with her grandchildren. Surviving: daughters-Jeannie & Joe Stewart of Delphi, Wanda "Nana" & Ulysses Good of Monticello; son: Bil & Donna Radaker of Jamestown; 2 bonus daughters-Susie Thompson of Indianapolis, Melanie Ridgeway of New Castle; sister-Jean & Steve Schowe of Huntington; brothers-Jim Callahan, companion Carolyn Brock of Grabois Mills, MO, Bill & Ann Callahan of Carmel. 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her inf. twin sister Margorie. Services: A memorial service will be held on Wednesday the 23rd, at 3pm, at the First Baptist Church in Delphi. Rev. Bill Glenn officiating.
