Norma J. Meeker Penn, 84, passed away Thursday morning, April 15, 2021 at 8:30am at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello. She had been a resident there since November 2019. She was born January 25, 1937, in Cass County, IN, to the late Eldo & Florence Eldridge Meeker. Her marriage was to Dale I. Penn in Logansport on July 1, 1956, and he preceded her in death on August 16, 1989. She graduated from Logansport High School in 1955. She was a homemaker and helped her husband on their family farm. She loved being a farm wife, and carried many meals to the field during planting and harvest seasons. She raised her family near Burrows, and attended the Burrows Presbyterian Church. After Dale passed away, she moved to Clymers and started attending the Clymers United Methodist Church. Very active at both churches, she taught Sunday school and bible school in the summer. She was a longtime member of the Clinton Township 40-40 Home Ec Club, and enjoyed playing Bunco for many years. She enjoyed word search puzzles, loved all the animals on the farm, and her many dogs and cats. She enjoyed baking, and made pies for the Penn family get togethers, and always had pie crust ready in the fridge for her husband's favorite pie. She enjoyed being with her family and hosting her brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces and nephews, for the Penn family gatherings, and loved to have her children's friends stay at their house whenever they wanted to. She loved old movies and music. Elvis was her favorite, and she was still dancing to Elvis at age 84, with the staff at White Oak's dancing with her.
