Mildred Ruth Moser Royer, 98, of rural Camden, passed away Monday-December 6, 2021, at 3pm at her great nephew's home, where she has lived for the past 2 years. She was born January 15, 1923, in New Paris, IN, to the late Lester & Carrie Flora Moser. Her marriage was to Owen O. Royer at his parent's farm in New Paris, on May 25, 1941, and he preceded her in death. She attended school in New Paris. She was a homemaker and helped her husband on their farm. She was a member of the Old Brethren German Baptist Church near Camden. She enjoyed raising a big garden and canning many fruits and vegetables from it. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and was an avid quilt maker, making handmade quilts for all her family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. And after living for over 40 years on their farm in New Paris, they moved to their daughter's home in Angola for several years, before she moved to Carroll County. Her children described their mother as fair, loving, a tremendous memory, and always putting others before herself. They also said, she still communicated her love to them, through her loving eyes, and those that so tenderly cared for her. Surviving: daughter-Esther Ruth & Richard Gonzalez of Chiefland, FL; daughter-Virginia & Robert "Bob" Vannatta of Angola; son-Wayne & Kathy Royer of Elkhart; son-Gene & Vicki Royer of Lovell, Maine; daughter-Kathryn & Gary Boothe of Goshen; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren survive. Preceded by a sister Martha; 3 brother's Loren, David, & Lewis. Visitation will be Thursday at the home of Jethro Royer, 3379 N. 200 W., Camden, IN 46917 from 1pm to 5pm. Visitation will be Friday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home in Wakarusa from 4pm to 8pm. Her funeral service will be Saturday at 10am at the Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church, home brethren officiating, 2501 CR38, Goshen, IN 46526, burial to follow at the church cemetery there. Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi, is assisting the family with arrangements.
