Maxine D. (Wright) Brewer, 79, of Bringhurst, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Campus in Delphi, IN, surrounded by her loving family.

Born November 8, 1946, in Stanley, North Dakota, to the late Lyle and Hilda (Rogstad) Wright, Maxine graduated from Stanley High School in 1964. She married the love of her life, Steve Brewer, on October 24, 1968, at Knife River Lutheran Church in Stanley. They made their home in Bringhurst, IN, where they raised their three sons.

A devoted daughter, sister, wife mother, grandmother, and homemaker, Maxine loved sewing, quilting, painting, gardening, and sharing her Norwegian heritage with family and friends. She was a longtime member of the Homemakers Association, Carroll County Garden Club, and the former First Baptist Church of Flora. Maxine loved spending summers in North Dakota.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 57 years, Steve Brewer; sons, Jim (Tracy) Brewer, Michael Brewer, and Philip (Ashley) Brewer; six grandchildren; brothers, Jerry (Sue) Wright and Tom (Deb) Wright; and many extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10, 2026, at Knife River Lutheran Church in Stanley, North Dakota, with burial to follow. Memorial contributions can be made to Flickertail Village Museum.
