Mary Alice Remaly McDonald, 79, of Delphi, passed away Saturday-May 21, 2022, at 6:30pm, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi. She was born November 3, 1942, in Tippecanoe County, IN, to the late Wilbur & June Skiles Remaly. Her marriage was to James R. McDonald in Delphi, on March 17, 1995, and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2021. She was a 1961 graduate of East Tipp High School. She formerly worked for Gerber-Globe Valve Corp, in Delphi for 30 years, retiring from there. She was a longtime and active member at the Living Faith Church of the Brethren near Flora, participating in the Women's Fellowship, and volunteered at their food tent during the Carroll County 4-H fair. She and her husband went on many mission trips, and they both volunteered with the local Christmas Baskets project. She also helped with programs for the residents at the Logansport State Hospital, and the Carroll Co. Food Bank. She enjoyed crocheting, gel pen coloring, and was an avid reader. She dearly loved her son and grandchildren, and enjoyed being together with them all for any occasion. Surviving: son-Nathan S. Best of Delphi; stepson-Tony Best of Virginia; stepdaughter-Janet & Conrad Kliewer of West Lafayette; brother-Joseph Remaly of Burrows; brother-Thomas & Denise Remaly of Kokomo; sister-Vickie Remaly of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandson-Blade & Jersey Best; granddaughter-Ryli & Eli Darling; great granddaughters: Hadley Best & Ivy Darling. Preceded in death by a stepson Jim; a sister Donna; a brother John. 4 step grandchildren & 3 step great grandchildren survive. Services: Visitation will be Thursday from 11am until her funeral service at 1pm at Living Faith Church of the Brethren, near Flora, Pastor Guy Studebaker officiating. Burial at North Union Cemetery, rural Lafayette. Memorial contributions may be made to Living Faith Church of the Brethren.
