Mary Blanche Quesenbery Brooks, 96, of Delphi, passed away Wednesday-November 22, 2023, at 3:55am, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi. She was born April 16, 1927, in Tazewell, TN, to the late Elleck & Margaret Hodge Quesenbery. Her marriage was to William Henry Brooks in Tazewell, TN, on August 2, 1946, and he preceded her in death on August 26, 2014. Blanche attended school in Tazewell. She and her husband and family had lived in Delphi for 70 years. Blanche was a homemaker and took great pride in keeping her home just right and taking great care of her children. She was a member of the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church near Delphi. Blanche was a devout Christian and shared her faith freely to those around her. Always willing to help those in need and less fortunate. She was an amazing cook and loved to share a meal with anyone that came by her home. She enjoyed her big garden and loved to share the vegetables she would raise. She loved to sew, quilt and crochet. Blanche had a great sense of humor and was quick witted and funny. She dearly loved her family, that was her life. She enjoyed being with them for any occasion. Surviving: son-David & Fran Brooks of Rossville, grandchildren: Johnny & Carolee Houser, Steve & Tilara Treece, Brian & Erika Brooks, Wade & Oliva Brooks. Great grandchildren: David Lee, Jake, Mekhila, Taylor, Diego, Bella, Chase, Zach, Jameson, great great grandchildren: Harmony, JJ, Brookelyn, Kairi, Lexi, Wilma, & Christina. brother-Jim Quesenbery of Rockfield, brother-Dave Quesenbery of Maynardville, TN, son in law- John Houser of Delphi. Preceded in death by her daughter Wilma Houser, 4 sister's Jenny, Jean, Jo, & Margaret, 3 brother's, Howard, Bill, & Jack, 2 sister in law's Elsie & Ella. Services: Visitation will be Friday from 11am until her funeral service at 1pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Pastor Bill Fields officiating.
