Mary E. Morris Lavy, 90, of rural Camden, died Thurs-Aug 10, 2017, at 9:15am in her home. She was born Dec 13, 1926 in Carroll County, IN, to the late James & Phoeba Flora Morris. Her marriage was to Andrew L. Lavy at her parents home, on Feb 6, 1949, and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2010. She attended the former Carrollton High School. She was a homemaker, and she and her husband owned Lavy's Orchard for over 40 years, raising apples, and making apple cider. She enjoyed the orchard, and all the help they would have during harvest, and loved the interaction she an her husband would have with the many customers that patronized their farm. She was a member of  Twin Oaks Old Brethren Church near Wakarusa.  She enjoyed writing poetry, flower & vegetable gardening. She dearly loved her family, and all of the gatherings they would share. The family wishes to express their most sincere appreciation to Ellen Just and her family for the wonderful care she gave our mother in her final years of life. It was truly a blessing to her, and us. Surviving; sons: Keith & Claudia Lavy of Troy, OH, Wayne & Sheryl Lavy of Greenville, OH, Kenneth & Tammi Lavy of Camden; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren. Preceded in death by 1 infant sister, 2 infant brothers, a brother Jonas, half brother Fred, sister Emma, half sister Eunice. Services: Friends may call Monday from 4pm-8pm at the Deer Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church, south of Camden, funeral service there Tuesday 10am, Shane Oberholzer officiating.
