Obituary

Marjorie A. Burge Dillon, 87, of Camden, died Sat-Jan 27, 2018, at 6:20am, at St Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi. She was born Oct 27, 1930 in Carroll Co., IN, to the late John & Sarah Rice Burge. Her marriage was to Wayne Lee Dillon in Young America, on Sept 10, 1950, and he survives. She was a 1949 graduate of Camden High School. She worked at JC Penney department store in Logansport for 27 years, starting in the fabric & material department, then was manager of the home furnishings department, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed sewing, was an avid reader, her flower gardens, and her vegetable garden. She and her family enjoyed traveling and camping. Her greatest love was her family. She dearly loved them all, and made each one feel special in her own way. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and school programs. Her family was her life, along with a great faith in the good Lord. Surviving: husband-Wayne L. Dillon of Camden; daughters-Sandy & Richard "Smitty" Smith of Logansport, Lisa & Andy Eikenberry of Flora; sons-Doug & Pat Dillon of Flora, Jeff & Deb Dillon of Camden. Brother-Meredith & Arvila Burge of Delphi. 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by an infant grandson Evan. Services: friends may call Thursday from 10am until her funeral service at 1pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Rev Ed Selvidge officiating. Burial at Camden Cemetery.
