Obituary

Lisa K. Malott Brown, 56, of Delphi, passed away Thursday-April 14, 2022, at 6:18pm, at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette, after a battle with cancer. She was born July 15, 1965, in Valparaiso, to Roscoe Malott, and her late mother Jimmie Ruth Townsend. She was formerly married to Toby Brown. She was a 1983 graduate of Rochester High School. She formerly worked at the former Peters-Revington Furniture Factory in Delphi for 19 years, and currently at Frito Lay in Frankfort, starting in packaging and currently in operation of product, for 18 years. She enjoyed putting out a big garden, and loved to share it with her family and friends, and would can fruits and vegetables for later use. She loved to be outside, and enjoyed fishing and hunting, canoeing, and playing with her German Shepards "Sarge" & "Shilo" & Golden Retriever "Shelby". She loved to cook, and Christmas holiday baking was a family tradition with her girls. She dearly loved her family and grandchildren, and enjoyed being with them for any occasion. Surviving: daughter-Baylee & Skyler Marcotte of Lafayette, granddaughter Isla Rose Marcotte; daughter-Courtney M. Brown of Kalamazoo, MI; companion-Owen A. Opheim of Delphi; brothers-Richard Malott of Rochester, James & Linda Malott of Sheridan, & Chris Malott of Rochester; father-Roscoe & Tina Malott of Rochester; stepsisters-Tiffany Kats, & Frankie Kats; stepbrother-Dustin Hecht; several nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by a sister Teresa J. Malott; grandparents Ethel & Elmer Malott, Robert & Jewel Townsend, step grandparents Russell & Velma Hecht. Services: Visitation will be Thursday from 4pm until her funeral service at 7pm, at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Tracy Brown officiating. Private family interment. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll County Cancer Association, envelopes available at the funeral home.
