Obituary

Linda K. Davis Jeffries, 63, of Delphi, died Sun.-July 19, 2015 at 12:40pm at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis, after a battle with Leukemia. She was born May 28, 1952 in Logansport, to the late Eugene M. Davis, and her mother Dorothea M. Strauch Davis Ellars. Her marriage was to James "Jim" Jeffries in Delphi, on Aug. 11, 1979, and he survives. She was a 1970 graduate of Lowell High School. She was currently employed at Thieme & Adair CPA in Lafayette, as a staff accountant for the past 16 years, and had owned and operated "The Crossing's Restaurant" in Delphi for 2 years, which is now Monicals Pizza. She was active with the Cancer Wellness Care Group that met at the Lafayette YWCA. She enjoyed going to auctions, horse racing, her flower gardens, and traveling. She was an avid Purdue University sports fan. She dearly loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren, and going to their sporting events. Surviving: husband-Jim Jeffries of Delphi; daughter-April & Don Little of Brookston; brothers-Mike Davis of Monticello, & Randy & Melinda Davis of Harpers Ferry, WV; stepsons-Paul & Nancy Jeffries of Delphi, Vince & Tammy Jeffries of Monticello, & Joe Jeffries of Yeoman. 6 grandchildren: Michael, Donald, & Kayla Little; Amanda, Brandon, & Tristan Jeffries. Nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by a sister Sherrie. Services: Friends may call Wednesday from 11am until her funeral service at 1pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Rev. Todd Ladd officiating. Burial at Masonic Cemetery, Delphi.
