Leo James Lee, 79, of Monticello, died Saturday-July 11, 2020 at his residence, after a 3 year battle with cancer. He was born on December 28, 1940 in Gulf Summit, NY, to the late Henry & Beatrice Cleveland Lee. His marriage was to Vicki J. Boone in Clairemont, CA, on January 15, 1966, and she survives. He was a 1958 graduate of Deposit High School, in Deposit, NY. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving 6 years, stationed in San Diego, CA, 2nd Class Engineman. He worked at the former RCA Plant in Monticello, the former Metzger Lumber Company in Delphi, and the former Main Street Computers in Monticello. He and his family would travel back to New York State, where he was raised, to visit his family, for their yearly vacation. He and his wife enjoyed going to their grandchildren's sporting events, and school functions, always in the audience supporting them. He enjoyed watching the New York Giants football team; NASCAR; and I.U. & P.U. basketball teams. He dearly loved his family, and spending time with them. Surviving: wife-Vicki J. Lee of Monticello; son-Richard "Rich" Lee & Donna Wireman of Monticello; daughter-Edie Ann & Greg Kitzmiller of Logansport; sister-Mary Fuller of Binghamton, NY; mother in law-Judith J. Boone of Monticello; brother in law-Kenny & Sharon Boone of Delphi; grandchildren: Deven Lee; Kattie & Parker Runyon; Tori & Garrett Criswell; Tyler Wireman; great grandchildren: Raina Runyon; Tinley & Blakeley Criswell. Preceded in death by a brother Nelson Lee.
Services: A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Monticello Police Department K-9 Fund, 229 N. Main St., Monticello, IN 47960. Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi, is assisting the family with arrangements. http://www.abbottfuneralhome.com
