Kris A. Walters, 64, of Camden, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 10:56 a.m. at Monticello Healthcare Center.

Born on January 7, 1961, in Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late Don and Myna (Roberson) Walters. Kris was a 1979 graduate of Delphi Community High School and dedicated over 30 years of service to the Indiana State Hospital near Logansport, retiring in 2013.

A passionate reader and gifted storyteller, Kris had a quick wit and a captivating presence. She was artistic and creative, finding joy in tending to her flowerbeds each spring. With a generous and tender heart, she had a deep love for animals, especially her two beloved cats, Dewy Crow and Fuzz Aldrin, who brought her endless joy.

Kris cherished her family, friends, and the time spent with her devoted friend, Mike.

She is survived by her sister, Robin A. Sipes of West Lafayette.

Services:
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until the start of her memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi, with Rev. Guy Studebaker officiating. A private family burial will take place at Musselman Cemetery near Camden.
