Kermit O. Goins, 83, of Delphi, died at his home on Tuesday-Oct 30, 2018 at 3:48pm. He was born Mar 3, 1935 in Lafollette, TN, to the late Luther & Helen Goins. He attended school in Lafollette. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, tank division, from 1952-1953, receiving the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was the minister of the Solid Rock Baptist Church in Delphi for 35 years. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed cross word puzzles. Kermit gave his life to Jesus, and his greatest love, was sharing the message the good Lord left us, and bringing people to Christ, through his preaching and teaching of the gospel of God. Surviving: sisters-Edith Lewis of Jonesboro, Ark., Bonnie Smith of Monroe, MI; brothers-Robert E. Goins of New Port Richey, FL, David Goins of Lafollette, TN; and his Delphi family and friends, that worshiped  with him, and took care of him in his later years. Preceded in death by 5 brothers-Carl, Kenneth, Earl, Ronnie, & Martin; a sister Marie.
