Julia Ann Pyle, 88, died on April 2, 2022. She was born on June 2, 1933, in Delphi, Indiana, to Judge Wm B and Betty Smith. She married Kenneth Pyle, the dashing Purdue grad who directed the church choir – the love of her life who remained her devoted, faithful companion through 70 years of marriage less three months.

Simply but deeply spiritual, she lived a life of service to family, friends, and God. She was an example to all of us, accepting and thriving in every season of life. She knew joyful contentment, loving deeply and being loved deeply. So, while we mourn, we have no regret for her. She is whole and smiling in the presence of Jesus…and loving the music!

Celebrating her life is husband Ken, still doing push-ups a month shy of 97; children Mike Pyle (Nancy), Larry Pyle (Pam), Linda Hulse (Mike) and Diane Cost (Brett). 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Bob and Dick Smith.

The family will receive friends Wednesday-April 13, 2022, at the Delphi United Methodist Church, 1796 N. US 421, Delphi, IN 46923, from 10am until her funeral service at 12pm, Pastor Doug Litsey officiating. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery, Delphi.
