Jerry E. Jennings, 76, of Delphi, died Wed.-May 20, 2015 at 10pm at his home. He had battled cancer since last Oct.-2014. He was born Dec. 15, 1938 in Summershade, KY, to the late Andrew & Edna Glass Jennings. His marriage was to Karen L. Clark in Lucerne, IN, on June 14, 1959, and she preceded him in death on Apr. 27, 2005. He was a 1957 graduate of Camden High School. He worked for 46 years at the former Gerber Globe Valve-Delphi. He was a member of the UAW Local #914. He enjoyed woodworking, was an avid reader of Louis Lamoure books, enjoyed auto racing, NASCAR, his favorite driver Bill Elliott, camping with his family and their camping club the "Corn Poppers". He enjoyed the Indianapolis Colts, and was very involved with the Delphi Girls Softball program for 10 years, as a coach, and league organizer, coaching his own daughters teams. Surviving: daughters-Lora L. Jennings of Delphi, and Lisa J. Jennings of Lebanon; son-Sean T. Jennings of Indianapolis; sister-Dianna & Jerry Sneathen of Delphi. Services: friends may call Tuesday from 5-8pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Funeral service there Wednesday at 11am, Rev. Ed Selvidge officiating.
