Jerry Allen Cook, 76, of Cape Coral, FL, died February 15, 2017. He was born April 6, 1940 near Delphi, to the late Joseph & Geraldine Shaff Cook. He graduated from Battle Ground High School in 1958, and served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. He was married to Carolyn Harner of Brookston in 1959. He farmed for many years West of Brookston, and later owned and operated Midwest Trenching. He moved to Florida where he owned and operated Cruisers Lounge until his passing. Surviving: daughter-Sheri Cook of Cape Coral, FL; son-Jerry Jay Cook of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren-Hunter & Lauren Cook; sisters-Janice & Jim Roth of Yeoman, Rose Mary & Charlie Lybrook of Delphi; brother-Craig & Nikki Cook of Brookston; companion-Beverly Walker of Cape Coral, FL; aunt-Lucile Shaff of Logansport; several nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by 2 brother's: Philip J. Cook, and an infant brother. Services: The family will receive friends Monday-May 8 from 11am until his memorial service at 1pm, at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi, Pastor Jeff Tomson officiating. Burial of his ashes will take place at Hopewell Cemetery, Deer Creek. Carroll County Honor Guard will preform Military Rites at the funeral home at the conclusion of his memorial service.
