James Richard Koski, 75, of rural Burnettsville, passed away unexpectedly at his residence, on Tuesday-January 17, 2023, at 5:07pm. He was born April 3, 1947, in Muskegon, MI, to the late Reino & Judith St. Arnold Koski. He was a 1965 graduate of Whitehall High School, in Whitehall, MI. He worked for Wirtz & Yates Construction in Kentland for 10 years, he was a union carpenter, and worked for Hornbeck Construction for 15 years, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed putting out a big garden to share with his family and friends. He loved being outdoors' and enjoyed cutting wood for his woodstove. In his younger years he enjoyed riding dirt bikes and going on trail rides. He liked NASCAR, and his favorite drive was Dale Sr. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and shooting pool. He was always willing to help a friend in need and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He dearly loved his daughters and family. Surviving: daughter-Kendra Koski and her husband Randall Kidd of Brownsburg, daughter-Kristen L. Koski of Delphi, sister-Louisa Nichols of Montague, MI, brother-Matthew & Carolyn Koski of Austin, TX. Grandchildren: Annabelle Kidd & Blair Kidd. Preceded in death by a sister Inez Koski, 3 brother's John, William, & Reino Koski. There will be no services at this time. A celebration of James life will take place at a date and time to be announced.
