Jacob A. "Jake" Strawser, 38, of Delphi, went to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, on Tuesday-February 21, 2023, at 4:19pm, after a brief and unexpected illness. He had been a patient at IU Health Arnett Hospital the past 9 days. He was born September 16, 1984, in Lafayette, to the late Rick L. Strawser, and his mother Carol Garrison White. His marriage was to Trista Cay Marie Cox in Delphi on May 20, 2018, and she survives. Jake was a 2003 graduate of Jeff High School and attended Lincoln Tech in Indianapolis. He was a service tech for Auto Express Car Sales and a service tech for Bob Rohrman Hyundai in Lafayette for the past 2 years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lafayette. He enjoyed riding his Harley with his wife, being outside next to a fire with his family and friends. He loved to grill and put things on the smoker to share, whether it be a nice steak or something else he thought would be cool to grill. He enjoyed watching sprint car racing, and he and his kids liked to race R/C cars. He also collected Hot Wheels cars, and recently let his kids have his enormous collection. Jake never new a stranger, had a contagious smile and laugh that would light up the room. He would help anyone in need and give you his last dollar if it would help you. Jake was a multiple organ donor, giving others the gift of life, through his most gracious gift. He dearly loved his family and being with them for any occasion. Surviving: wife-Trista C.M. Dr. Rob White of Delphi, mother-in-law-Deradee & Bret Remaly of Burrows, father-in-law-Jeff & Connie Cox of Delphi, paternal grandma-Ramona Strawser of Logansport, maternal grandma-Ruthanna White of Crawfordsville. Preceded in death by his father Rick, grandparents James & Eleanor Garrison, & Beanie Strawser, nephew Greeson Hefner, niece Elizabeth Wilcox. Services: Visitation will be Friday from 4pm until his funeral service at 7pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Rev. Dr. Rob White officiating.
