Ida Faye Shockley Lane, 89, formerly of Delphi, passed away Saturday-March 16, 2024, at 5:45am, at Monticello Healthcare Center, where she had resided since March 6, 2020. She was born April 22, 1934, in Carroll County, IN, to the late John & Mildred Fair Shockley. Her marriage was to Arthur L. Lane in Delphi, on May 23, 1954, and he preceded her in death on April 23, 2018. Ida was a 1952 graduate of Delphi High School. She worked at the former Sam's Fish House in Pittsburg, the former Ben Franklin Department Store, and at the Delphi Hardware Store for many years, and was a homemaker. Ida was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles and playing BINGO, and crafts. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed being with them for any occasion. Surviving: daughter-Phyllis & Jack McCarty of Bringhurst, daughter-Pamela & James Land of Elnora, daughter-Peggy & Pearl Speakman of Lafayette, sister-in-law-Maxine Brewer of Monticello, sister-in-law-Doris Lane of Lafayette. 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, & 2 great great grandchildren survive. She was preceded in death by 3 brother's & 4 sisters. Services: Visitation will be Wednesday from 11am until her funeral service at 1pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Pastor Marilyn Sikes officiating. Burial will be at Camden Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
