Hilda G. Malott Kempf, 88, of Delphi, died Saturday-Dec 22, 2018 at 4:55am, surrounded by her loving family at St Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette. She was born Feb 11, 1930 in Crown Point, IN, to the late Elmer & Ethel Brown Malott. Her marriage was to Herman R. Kempf in Delphi, on June 4, 1949, and he preceded her in death on Feb 18, 2004. She attended school in Crown Point. She worked for 44 years at the former Peters-Revington Furniture Factory in Delphi as a supervisor of the sanding department, retiring from there. She was a member of the Faith Church of Christ in Burlington. She formerly belonged to the Women's Auxiliary of the Delphi American Legion Post 75. She enjoyed flower gardening, shopping, traveling, and baking for her family. Her greatest love was her family. She dearly loved her son and daughter, and her grand & great grandchildren. She loved attending their events, and just being together to share a meal or celebrate a birthday. That was her life. Surviving: daughter-Becky & Jeff Johnson of Delphi; son-William "Bill" & Patrizia Kempf of Lafayette. Grandchildren: Amy & Mark Fields, Aaron & Jana Anderson, Garrett Johnson. 4 great grandchildren survive. Sister-Donna & David Woods of Kewanna; brother-Roscoe "Sonny" & Tina Malott of Rochester. Preceded by an infant son Donald Richard Kempf; 4 sisters Flossie, Margaret, Joan, & Juanita. Services: Friends may call Thursday from 11am until her funeral service at 1pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Pastor Michael Rogers officiating. Burial at IOOF Memorial Gardens, Pittsburg.
