Harry Lee Myers, 75, of Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at his home. He was born May 14, 1942 in Kosciusko County, IN, to the late Claude V. & Jane E. Prescott Myers. He married Joyce I. Eiler in Palestine, IN, on September 3, 1961, and she preceded him in death on April 14, 2015. Harry spent much of his life working on farms. He met Joyce while working for her father and eventually married the boss's daughter. He and Joyce purchased their own egg farm, and ran that for several years before Harry went to work in Elkhart, IN, for Bullard Farms. In 1976, he relocated his family to Rensselaer, IN, and worked for Fairview Egg Farm. Eventually, he and his wife moved to Lafayette, and Harry went to work for the IN Veteran's Home, as a member of the custodial staff. During his time there, he realized that he enjoyed washing windows, and in January of 1991 he started his own business, M&M Window Washing, through which he washed business windows in the Lafayette and surrounding communities until his death. Harry attended the Wea Ridge Baptist Church in Lafayette, IN, and thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship and would often mention his love of their inclusion of old hymns in their services-he and his wife loved those songs over the years. Surviving are a daughter, Angie Teel (sp. Jeff) of Brookston, a son Russell (sp. Jaci) of Lafayette, and his very special granddaughter, Emily Myers. Also surviving are 5 sisters and 3 brothers, who all reside in Northern Indiana. He was preceded in death by twin grandsons Adam Lee & Bruce Edward Myers. Visitation will be Friday at Wea Ridge Baptist Church, 1051 E. 430 S., Lafayette, IN, from 4pm-7pm, funeral service there Saturday 10:30am, Pastor Dan Sager officiating. Interment will be at Chalmers Community Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wea Ridge Baptist Church, envelopes available there.
