Harriet A. Loman Ragan, 81, of rural Cutler, died Mon.-Feb. 23, 2015 at 6:30pm at IU Health Arnett Hospital-Laf. She had been in failing health the past year, and a patient there for a week. She was born Feb. 9, 1934 in Lafayette, to the late William & Charlotte Lewis Loman. Her marriage was to Donald K. Ragan in Delphi, on June 6, 1952, and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2000. She attended Jeff High School in Lafayette, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Pocahontas in Monticello, a former Girl Scout & Brownie Troop Leader, was baptized in the Baptist Church in Pittsburg. She and her family had raised horses, and she enjoyed caring for them and going to horse shows. She liked working in her flower gardens around her house and property. Surviving: daughters-Roxanna "Punk" & Steve Garbison of Monticello, Donna J. Rush companion Ed J. Sterrett of Cutler; 4 granddaughters raised in her home: Linda & Tom Woodhouse, Shawnon Kennell, Shannon Gibbs, & Tracy Rush; a great grandson raised in her home-Donald Rush. 10 great grandchildren, & 2 great great grandchildren survive. Preceded in death by a daughter Mary Wall; great grandson Daniel Hendrix. Services: Friends may call Thursday from 4-7pm at Abbott Funeral Home Inc., Delphi, service there Friday at 11am, Rev.
