Gary A. Bounds, 68, of Burrows, died unexpectedly Thursday-April 25, 2019 at 4:04am at his residence. He was born Feb 27, 1951 in Kokomo, to the late Freeman & Dorthy Zeiger Bounds. His marriage of 45 years was to Mary E. Musselman in Kokomo, on June 2, 1973, and she survives. He was a 1969 graduate of Kokomo High School. He currently was driving a semi for Carry Transit of Dayton, OH, for the past 15 years. He had worked at other trucking companies, and has driven a semi for most of his working life. He was a member of the Delphi 1st Assembly of God Church. He was a media member of the Jimmy Swaggart Family Life Center in Baton Rogue, LA. Gary was an avid President Donald Trump supporter, and enjoyed talking politics with his family and friends. He loved sports, especially the Indianapolis Colts; Indy Pacers; Oakland Raiders; and the University of Alabama football. He enjoyed watching WWE wrestling; playing video games, and watching the game show, Family Feud. Gary dearly loved his wife and children, grandchildren, and all of his family and many friends and co-workers at the different trucking companies he drove for, and his current employer Carry Transit. He enjoyed being on the road, seeing America, and when he returned home, enjoyed working in his yard. Gary also loved the Lord with all his heart and soul. The family takes great comfort knowing he's in heaven with his savior Jesus. Surviving: wife-Mary E. Bounds of Burrows; daughter-Cindy & Jason Byers of Burrows; son-Chad A. Bounds of Burrows; granddaughters-Mia Bounds, Michelle Hile; adopted son-Bret & Dee Remaly of Burrows; sister-Pam & Bob Gilbert of Greentown; brother-Stan Bounds of Kokomo; aunt-Sharon Zeiger of Mountain Home, Ark.; uncle-Bob & Louise Zeiger of Aurora, IL; sister in laws-Angela & Dave Hensel of Lincoln, Linda & James Smith of Winchester, TN. Nieces and nephews, cousins also survive. Preceded by an inf. sister. Services: Friends may call Saturday from 1pm to his funeral service at 3pm at First Assembly of God Church in Delphi. Pastor Brent Oliver officiating. Burial at Burrows Cemetery. Memorial contributions to First Assembly Church, envelopes available at his service.
