Frances L. Ford Lachenmaier, 99, of Delphi, died Tues.-Sept. 22, 2015 at 3:20pm at Milner Healthcare in Rossville. She was born Nov. 17, 1915 in Marysville, OH, to the late Charles & Margaret Singer Ford. Her marriage was to Frank B. Lachenmaier in Venice, OH, on Aug. 20, 1938, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1994. She was a 1933 graduate of Marysville High School in OH. She and her husband moved to Delphi in 1952 from Marysville. She worked for O.M. Scott & Sons Seed Co., in the bookkeeping dept., for 4 years, in Marysville, then for the former Ranger Co., in Delphi for 3 years, then for Ives & Ives Law Office in Delphi, for 27 years as a legal secretary. She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Delphi, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She enjoyed crocheting & sewing, was an avid reader, and like to paint with acrylics. Surviving: daughter-Linda Lybrook of Delphi; son-Frank & Rae Lachenmaier of Kokomo; grandchildren: David, Darryl, Lynn, Skip, Kristin, Kimberly; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter. Preceded in death by a daughter Sue; son John; daughter in law Joann; son in law Dan; grandson Bruce. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11am-1pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Private family committal at IOOF Memorial Gardens, Pittsburg, Pastor Dan Gottschalk officiating.
