Eva N. McCarter McClain, 75, of rural Carroll County, passed away April 1, 2024, at 4:03pm, at her home. She was born October 22, 1948, in Haleyville, AL, to the late Robert & Nellie Dodd McCarter. She graduated from Hayworth High School in Kokomo in 1966. She worked at the former Delco Electronics factory in Kokomo for 30 years, retiring from there. She was a member of the Burnettsville Church of the Brethren, where she helped in the nursery, and made numerous meals for events and functions at the church. She participated in the monthly euchre club the church would host. She enjoyed putting out a big garden and working in her yard and being outdoors. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's school functions and sporting events. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed being with them for any occasion. Surviving: son-Shawn & Amber McClain of Delphi, sister-Jimmie George of Kokomo, brother-Doug & Debbie McCarter of Florence, AL, brother-Larry McCarter of Logansport. Grandchildren: Kipp, Kayla, Makenzi, James, Jordyn, Gunner, Holli & Trav. Great grandchildren:  Ryan, Boone & Tate. Services: the family will receive friends on Friday April 12, from 3pm until her memorial service at 5pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Private family burial will take place.
