Emma L. Jaynes Lanham, 77,of Delphi, died Fri-Sept. 16, 2016, at 3:15pm, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi. She was born June 9, 1939 in Galveston, to the late Lee & Mabel Baker Jaynes. Her marriage was to Edward Lloyd Lanham in Jellico, TN, on Aug. 23, 1954, and he preceded her in death on Apr. 29, 2014. She attended Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis. She worked at the former Shilo Drive Inn Restaurant in Delphi, for 9 years, then for the Area IV Council on Aging in Delphi, for several years. She had lived in Flora for the past 2 years. She attended the Flora United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Carroll County Country Club, belonged to the Delphi American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing BINGO, card games, art, bowling & golfing, and was on respective leagues in both sports. She dearly loved her family, and enjoyed participating in her grandchildren's activities. Surviving: daughter-Ann E. Wilson of Maroa, IL; son-Dale & Kari Lanham of Hebron; 4 granddaughter's: Jessica, Cassie, Candy, & Meg; 10 great grandchildren. Son in law-Edward L. Hanaway. Preceded in death by a daughter Melody; son in law David; a great grandson; 3 brother's; 1 sister. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
