Elizabeth Ann
"Beth" Winter Wilcox
September 29, 1946 – September 21, 2025
Elizabeth Ann (Beth) (Winter) Wilcox of rural Logansport, IN went home to her Lord God on Sunday, September 21, 2025, eight days short of her 79th birthday. Born in Logansport, IN and raised in Indianapolis, IN; Beth is survived by Michael (Mike) Wilcox, her husband of 57 years, children Amy Wilcox-Click of Burlington, IN, and Matthew (Matt) Wilcox (Mindy) of Rockford, MI; and her five cherished grandchildren: Mason Click, Elizabeth (Ellie) Wilcox, Rylie Click, Katherine (Kate) Wilcox, and Megan Wilcox. Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Alice (Klinck) and William Elias (Bill) Winter, and her infant son, Brent Wilcox.
Growing up in Indianapolis, Beth received her high school diploma from Broad Ripple High School in 1964 and then graduated from Indiana State University in 1968, where she met Mike while obtaining a teaching degree in Home Economics. She taught at Lincoln Jr. High School in Logansport, as well as various locations in California and Ohio before leaving the teaching profession to pursue her most cherished role as a loving mother and supportive wife as she and Mike relocated around the US and England with Mike's military assignments.
Settling back in Carroll County in 1982, Beth held various positions, including substitute teaching, until she and Mike acquired Wilcox Lumber Co., Inc, where she maintained the books and assisted with sales, retiring in 2017.
Paralleled only by her love for her family, Beth's faith and love for The Lord God was the anchor of her life. She served The Lord as an active member of the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church and spent her life being a disciple of His word.
Beth took great pleasure in spending time with Mike in their retirement years as they socialized with their wide circle of friends, often traveling to connect with friends and family.
Beth, Mum, as she endearingly would refer to herself, referencing the time the family lived in England, was so incredibly proud of each of her children and grandchildren, and her earthly presence will forever be missed. Services: A visitation for Beth will be held on Friday-October 10, 2025, from 4pm to 8pm at the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church. Her memorial service will be there on Saturday at 11am, with Pastor Mike Munson officiating. Private burial will take place at Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church; envelopes will be available there.
