Eleanor Nadean Sheets, 85, of Delphi, passed away Saturday-January 22, 2022, at 4pm, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi. She had been a resident there since April of 2020 and had lived at Carroll Manor Home in Delphi for many years. She was born October 10, 1936, in New Harmony, IN, to the late Roy & Lois Gee Sheets. She was a 1954 graduate of George Washington High School and attended IUPUI in Indianapolis for 3 years. She had worked for the Indianapolis Street Commission; Indianapolis Police Department; State Welfare Dept.; State Library; and the Marion County Welfare Office. She moved from Indianapolis to Delphi in 1981. She attended the Radnor United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Oder of the Eastern Star of Rossville, and the White Shrine of Jerusalem Job's Daughter. Eleanor enjoyed music and could play 8 different instruments. She was an award-winning accordion player. She helped her mother give music lessons for decades and played the organ for the Eastern Star events, and at other chapters. Eleanor enjoyed tatting, crocheting and sewing, and anything that had to do with crafts. She was a member of the Dolly Madison Extension Homemakers Club. She donated pictures, equipment, props and memorabilia, from her parents Vaudeville shows and performances, to the Delphi Opera House. Surviving:

She was preceded by a cousin with whom she was raised Patricia Bailey. Services: Visitation will be Thursday from 11am until her funeral service at 12pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Rev. Nord Zootman officiating. Burial at Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delphi Preservation Society or Carroll County Cancer Association, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
