Edgar R. Kennedy, 77, of Delphi, passed away Sunday-March 9, 2025, at 11:36am, at his daughter's home near Delphi after a battle with cancer. He was born May 16, 1947, in Quitman, LA, to the late George & Josie Rhymes Kennedy. His marriage was to Delores A. McDuff, in Cotton Valley, LA, on January 16, 1966, and she preceded him in death on May 15, 2020. Edgar attended High School in Springhill, LA. He and his family moved from Louisiana to Indiana in 1995. Edgar drove a semi for Byrd Brother's Trucking of Camden. He and his wife formerly attended the Delphi First Assembly of God Church. Edgar enjoyed playing domino's and tinkering around outdoors. His greatest love was for his family. He dearly loved them all and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving: daughter-Libby & Tony Steffel of Delphi, son-Teddy & Sandra Kennedy of Monticello, son-James P. Kennedy & Amy Duff of Monticello, sister-Rebecca Shows of Sarepta, LA. 8 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren survive. Preceded in death by a brother, a sister, and a brother-in-law.
