Donna J. Kuntz Sholty, 77, of Delphi, passed away unexpectedly, Monday-May 20, 2024, at 3:25am, at her residence. Donna was born on February 12, 1947, in Lafayette, to the late Marvin & Margaret Niccum Kuntz. She married Edward K. "Ed" Sholty, at the Brown Street Methodist Church in Lafayette, on February 22, 1964, celebrating their 60th anniversary this year, and he survives. Donna attended Lafayette Jeff High School and received her GED. Donna loved children and taking care of them and ran Donna's Daycare for 35 years out of her home. Taking care of hundreds of children during that time. She was a member of the Delphi Methodist Church. Donna was very active in her boys after school functions as a Cub Scout Leader and was a 4-H leader of the Delphi Delphinium's 4-H club for many years. Donna enjoyed putting out a big garden and loved to share her produce with her family and neighbors. She enjoyed planting flowers and making the yard and her home look just right. She loved to sew, was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing games on her iPad, especially the painting app. She loved to host her family for the holidays, always cooking everything needed for each one. Her family and grandchildren were everything to her. She dearly loved them all and enjoyed spending time with them for any occasion. Surviving: husband-Edward K. "Ed" Sholty of Delphi, son-Thomas & Christina Sholty of Dayton, their children; Micaiah Sholty, & Isaac Sholty, son-Brian & Misty Sholty of Monticello, their children; Molly Sholty, Lenora Sholty, Lucas Sholty, & Skylar Sholty, sister-Carol Nelson of Lafayette, sister-Cathy "Crickett" Clark of Indiana, sister-Debra Gibson of Indiana. Preceded in death by 3 brother's & 1 sister. Services:  Visitation will be Thursday from 5pm to 7pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Her funeral service will Friday at 11am at the Delphi Methodist Church, 1796 N. US 421, Delphi, IN 46923, Rev. Todd Ladd officiating. Burial will be at IOOF Memorial Gardens, Pittsburg.
