Donna Luella Fieleke Romein, 92, of rural Delphi, passed away Monday-
November 10, 2025, at 5:00am, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Donna was born on November 6, 1933, in Momence, IL, to the late Walter & Cleta
Doehring Fieleke Sr. Her marriage was to Raymond Romein at the Momence First
Baptist Church on January 1, 1953, and he preceded her in death on June 21, 2016.
Donna graduated from Momence High School in 1951, and attended Illinois State
University, receiving a degree in office administration. Donna worked for many
years at the Carroll County Courthouse in the Auditor's Office and was elected as
the Carroll County Auditor. She also drove the bus for the CDC of Monticello for
many years. Donna was active in the Republican Party and was Tippecanoe Township
Precinct Committeeman for 50 years. Donna was a faithful and steadfast member
of the First Baptist Church of Delphi and was the church treasurer for several
years. She participated in Home Ec Club, was a member of the Delphi Professional
Businesswomen's Club and was named Woman of the Year. She enjoyed sewing
and was an awesome cook. Donna loved her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. She
enjoyed sharing her faith and belief with those around her. She dearly loved her
family and being with them all was most important to her. She recently had a
birthday celebration at her home surrounded by her children, grandchildren, church
family & friends and had the best day ever with them. A memory they all will
cherish. Surviving: son-Joel & Jeanna Romein of Delphi, daughter-Marcia & Scott
Jura of Delphi, sister-Mary Carol DeYoung of St. Anne, IL, sister-in-law-Patricia
"Pat" Fieleke of Delphi. 5 grandsons & 6 great grandchildren survive. Preceded in
death by 2 brothers Calvin & Walter "Sonny" Fieleke Jr, brother-in-law Garrett
DeYoung, sister-in-law Alice Fieleke. Services: A graveside service will be held
Friday at 1:00pm at IOOF Memorial Gardens, Pittsburg, Rev. Bill Glenn
officiating. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday-December 5, 2025,
at 6:00pm, at the First Baptist Church in Delphi, Rev. Bill Glenn & Rev. Matthew
Delvalle officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Voice of the
Martyrs, 1815 SE Bison Rd., Bartlesville, OK 74006, www.persecution.com.
