Carol J.
Maxwell Cox
October 10, 1942 – October 25, 2025
Carol J. Maxwell Cox, 83, of rural Delphi passed away Saturday-October 25, 2025, at 12:47pm at her home surrounded by her loving daughters. Carol was born on October 10, 1942, in Flora to the late Ancil & Lois Allbaugh Maxwell. Carol graduated from Flora High School in 1960. She received her business degree from Indiana Business College in Lafayette in 1961. Carol was a certified biblical counselor since 1998 and worked for the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors which certifies Christian counselors in their fields. Prior to this position she worked for Farm Bureau in Delphi as a CSR for 5 years, and for the former Lox Equipment, now Custom Allied Products, in administration and a QA secretary. Carol was a member of the Living Faith Church of the Brethren and was active with the women's fellowship and prayer chain. Carol enjoyed crafting and would start a year in advance to quietly support local charities between Delphi and Flora, and St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi, with her handmade gifts and collectibles she would donate during the holidays. She was always giving of herself and talents to others. She always put everyone's needs in front of her own, even up to the very end. Carol consciously worried about others she would hear about having a difficult time and how she could help them. Her daughters stated, "she was the most selfless person you would ever meet". Family was everything to Carol and she dearly loved them all. Her deep-seated faith in the good Lord is also what carried her through life. She lived her life according to the scriptures always quietly pointing others to Christ through her words and actions. Well done thy good and faithful servant.
