Carl E. Woolridge, 86, of Delphi, died Thurs.-Dec. 3, 2015, at 2:30am at IU Health Arnett Hospital-Lafayette. He was born July 30, 1929 in Plainfield, to the late Seymour & Flora Duncan Woolridge. His marriage was to Ruth P. Felix in Colburn on Dec. 3, 1949, and she survives. He attended the former Buck Creek High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, 1947-1948, then recalled from 1950-1951, serving in the military police. He worked for 22 years for the former Standard Oil Co. near Brookston, and later worked at the Indianapolis plant that is now BP Oil. He also worked for Smith Construction for 4 years in Bringhurst. He was a Mason, and belonged to the Camden Lodge #211, he attained the Scottish Rite, and belonged to the Murat Temple in Indianapolis, achieving his 50 year Masonic pin. He was a member of the Delphi American Legion Post #75. He enjoyed gardening and yard work, fishing, Chicago Cubs baseball, enjoyed watching any sporting event, and NASCAR. Surviving: wife-Ruth P. Woolridge of Delphi; four daughters: Loretta & Mark Crumly of Lafayette, Kathy & Darrell Golden of Lafayette, Debra & Tim Taylor of Kokomo, Donna & Steve Cotner of Logansport; sister-Ethel Rauch of Flora; brother-Marvin Woolridge of Lafayette. 4 grandchildren and great grandchildren survive.
