Carl David Holeman, 73, of Brookston, passed away Sunday-January 2, 2022, at 8:45am at his home, surrounded by his family. Carl was born March 8, 1948, in Reynolds, to the late Carlyn "Shorty" & Vaynetta Matthews Holeman. Carl lived and worked in White County his entire life. He married Patricia A. Franklin on February 10, 1967, in Reynolds, and she survives.  Carl found his place in life when he became the Reynolds Town Marshal, and later he became the Director of the White County Community Corrections. Carl enjoyed law enforcement and was extremely involved in his community and family services. Carl touched the lives of so many individuals and families. Surviving: wife-Patricia A. Holeman of Brookston; daughter-Christine & Ralph Boice of Brookston; son-Jerry & Nicole Holeman of Monon; sister-Margene Woodall of Monticello; brother-Dale & Amanda Holeman of Monticello; brother-Jim & Lisa Holeman of Brookston. Carl was blessed with 6 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews survive. He was preceded in death by his parents Shorty & Vaynetta Holeman, sisters Velma Holeman & Sharon Nichols, brother-in-law Gerald Woodall, nephew Jay Holeman. Carl looked forward to Christmas for months, as he loved bringing smiles to so many little faces at Christmas time. Thank you, Santa!!  Services: visitation will be Wednesday from 11am until his funeral service at 1pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Pastor Todd Randles officiating.
