Billy G. Best, 70, of Lafayette, passed away Saturday-May 3, 2025, at 3:27am, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. Billy was born on April 5, 1955, in Lafayette, to the late John & Margaret Harner Best. He was formerly married to the late Donna Dillman.  Billy graduated from Delphi Community High School in 1973. Billy was a carpenter and worked for Simon Construction in Lafayette for many years. Billy enjoyed mushroom hunting, collecting and refurbishing antiques, and enjoyed playing golf. Surviving: daughter-Christina Best sp. Jason Davis of Crawfordsville, sister-Kim & Mike Leahy of Delphi, brother-Bob & Debra Best of Alamo, TX, grandchildren: Maleek Hall & Remington Shahan, great granddaughter-Ciarra Davis, stepsons-Silas Morgan, & Jason Powell of Lafayette, stepdaughter-Felicia Powell of Lafayette. Services: Private family services will be held. Burial at Masonic Cemetery, Delphi. Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi, is assisting the family with arrangements.
