Bette Jean Cain Cauley, 90, of Delphi, died Mon-Aug 7, 2017, at 2:50am, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi. She was born Dec 7, 1926 in Harrison Co., KY, to the late Wilbur & Hilda Whalen Cain. Her marriage was to Victor M. Cauley in Harrison Co., KY on Aug 11, 1945, and he preceded her in death on Jan 30, 2011. She had lived most of her life in North Vernon, IN, and moved off her farm in Oct 2010, when her health started to decline. She graduated from high school in 1944, from Harrison Co., KY. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Rush Branch United Methodist Church in North Vernon, where she was the music director. She was a member of the North Vernon Senior Center, and attended many activities they had for their members. She enjoyed cross word & word search puzzles, BINGO, and loved to play her piano. Surviving: son-Jerry & Joyce Cauley of Lafayette; grandson-Bryan & Heather Cauley of Lafayette; great grandchildren-Caroline & Cole Cauley; sister-Wanda Thompson of Greenville, NC; 3 nieces-Pam, Marilyn, Lisa; a nephew James "Joey". A memorial service will take place at a later date in North Vernon. Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi, in charge of arrangements.
