Barbah L. "Barb" Austin Wine, 81, passed away Saturday-November 1, 2025, at 2:12pm, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Barb was born on September 8, 1944, in Lancaster, CA, to the late Ralph & Mary Francis Austin. Her marriage was to Roger W. Wine in Carroll County, IN, on July 21, 1991, and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2008. Barb graduated in 1962 from Antelope Valley Union Joint High School in Lancaster, CA. Barb worked for Young's Culligan in Delphi in administration. She then started working for the former Alloy Craft, now Custom Allied Products, near Delphi in administration. She then went to work at the Carroll Manor Home in Delphi as a resident care aide. Barb was a member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority and the VFW 9383 Women's Auxiliary both in Delphi. She enjoyed gardening and flower gardening around her home and loved doing yardwork. Barb dearly loved her family especially bragging on her grandchildren. They were her life. Surviving: son-Ron & Tracy Ginn of Camden, son-David & Jennifer Ginn of Indianapolis, brother-David L. Austin of Deer Lodge, MT, companion-Kenneth Fred Simmerman of Delphi. 4 grandchildren survive as well as nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Robert Austin. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date and time to be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll Manor Home, 6409 W. 100 N.
